MAXXIS - 700C HIGH ROAD SL

The Maxxis High Road SL is our lightest and fastest road racing tyre, ever. Our HYPR-S compound decreases rolling resistance by 12% compared to the standard High Road.

  • HYPR-S compound
  • 170 TPI casing
  • K2 puncture protection beneath tread

Construction: The new Maxxis High Road SL uses our lightest, most supple 170 TPI casing. With remarkable bump absorption from the flexible casing, riders will experience more comfort and control.

Compound: The High Road SL is the first Maxxis tire to use our new HYPR-S compound. Building on the success of the HYPR compound which debuted on the original High Road, the new HYPR-S compound retains exceptional grip while decreasing rolling resistance by 12%.

Protection: A lightweight, high-performance tire needs an equally light and high-performing puncture protection layer. For the High Road SL we chose our exclusive K2 material that ensures ride quality and performance remain unsurpassed. K2 is used as a breaker – situated underneath the tread – on the High Road SL.

Recommended Use: As an extremely lightweight tire with limited puncture protection, the High Road SL is recommended for race use only. It’s designed to be fast, not to last. The High Road SL is suitable for racing time trials, on the velodrome, or any situation where a rider wants the lightest setup possible.
